This year $22,000 in scholarships were made possible by the late Dr. Malachi W. Sloan II, a retired physician and Bethany Village resident.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Dr. Sloan established the fund to encourage individuals to further their educations in nursing \u2013 specifically with an intention to practice geriatric care.
